There was no floor plan so we weren’t expecting to have to go through the second bedroom to access the third one.
There’s only one bathroom and no separate loo which makes the morning rather tricky when there are five adults in the house. I understand why in this property but it is less than ideal.
An odd omission is that there was no brush or other implement with which to wash crockery and cutlery.

(Not meant to be overly critical but hopefully gives a few pointers on how the really great owners could make the property even better!!).

The property is clean and has all of the basic equipment and is surprisingly quiet despite the busy neighbourhood nearby. The cleaning crew who visited regularly during our stay were excellent.
We rented this property on a slightly longer basis due to an insurance claim and it was slightly too small for our family of 4 plus dog for this length of time but was conveniently located for us to carry on with our day to day lives. Read more

Unfortunately, we couldn't stay as long as we planned. I think Kate & Marty could have communicated better and been more considerate - especially considering we have a little girl. We were almost stranded because we had to leave on short notice. We booked for a week and requested an extension of stay (if available) by the second day of our stay. We didn't get any response on this and were only informed a day before we were to leave that the house is no longer available.

I appealed to their compassion to refund at least half the cost of the stay (just so we both weren’t at a total loss and in light of extenuating circumstances to make an exception) to help fund my very expensive journey (flights, testing, hotel quarantine, and total loss of income as I am self-employed) they refused and made it irrefutably clear that the money was more important than showing any basic human decency despite being completely upfront regarding the situation. They proceeded to ignore my requests for negotiation (did not even bother replying after they declined an initial refund) and subsequently made it extremely difficult for me to transfer my booking to a colleague, agreeing only to allow the booking to be utilised if an additional guest fee be paid (several days had passed before responding which meant these were left vacant yet completely paid for). I attempted to phone them several times using the number provided on AirBnb, they never picked up nor did they call back. At least a refund of the additional fee was eventually agreed upon.
While this review says nothing about the house or amenities, I am finding it difficult to comprehend and compelled to make note of the total lack of care and compassion which I often find Airbnb hosts to supply in abundance (a big reason to why I will usually choose this over hotels). These are extremely difficult times for so many, it’s just so disappointing that not everyone upholds the Airbnb community values as well as completely lack the solidarity and compassion to help lessen the emotional, psychological, and financial devastation of this global pandemic. The centre and castle park are a short walk away from this quiet and friendly road. A small supermarket and take-away restaurants are also close by. The host made us feel very welcome and was very responsive. Check-in is easy as the key is in a lockbox. Would definitely stay again! Read more
